The 7-year old handheld keeps on fighting as Nintendo releases the latest firmware update for the 3DS family of systems. This brings the total amount of updates to 3 for 2018. Today's version focuses more on stability similar to the first two before it.

The official Philippine portal for Pokemon.com launched last December 2017 and many people thought that this might be a stepping stone towards local event distributions and possible sanctioned tournaments in the future. However, this hypothesis is now on shaky grounds following last Friday's Heatran / Regigigas March 2018 Newsletter Distribution.
UPDATE3: Support says members who registered accounts under the Philippines will not receive any codes. Will try to respond back since the previous Newsletters sent were for the US region.The Pokemon Trainer Club Newsletter for March have been emailed to people who opted-in to their email promos before March 1, 2018. The aforementioned email will contain a serial code for either Regigigas or Heatran, depending on your game version.
UPDATE2: It seems that players who registered their Pokemon Trainer Club under the Philippines only received the UK version of this month's Newsletter. It is not yet known if this is a bug or an intended change. Every promotional email sent prior to the March 2018 Newsletter was for the US region. Members with PH accounts even received serial codes for the Legendary Bird Trio from Kanto with Hidden Abilities during the May 2016 Newsletter distribution event. In line with this, we have reported this issue through their Support channel and are currently waiting for their response.
UPDATE1: For members with US accounts who have yet to receive the Newsletter, give it a couple more hours just in case they are sending the emails by batches. Be sure to check your Spam folder as well.
